The 32-year-old veteran made the call on his podcast, ending a multi-year effort to return to the gridiron following a string of knee injuries that stalled a promising career. Banner finishes his professional tenure with 30 games played and two starts across four active seasons.
Banner’s journey remains defined by a single, cruel moment in the 2020 season opener.
