NFL Wives Hijack Super Bowl LX Weekend: Runway Stunner Raises $1M in San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO — While the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots lock themselves in film rooms ahead of Sunday’s showdown at Levi’s Stadium, the real heat wasn’t on the practice field Friday. It was on a runway at 55 Stockton Street. Dozens of current and former NFL wives commanded the spotlight, turning the 25th Annual Off The Field NFL Wives Charity Fashion Show into the weekend’s undisputed MVP event.

The target? A cool $1 million for the San Francisco & Oakland Boys and Girls Clubs. The vibe? Less “bake sale,” more “Paris Fashion Week meets the gridiron.”

    More Than Just “Plus Ones”

Forget the “WAGs” stereotype. This event, hosted by WWE Superstar Charlotte Flair and comedian Godfrey, shredded the narrative that these women are just background characters. They strutted, they styled, and they reminded everyone who actually runs the league’s household defense.

“We do a lot, baby, honestly,” said Ashley Peterson, wife of legendary running back Adrian Peterson. “It’s great for our husbands to come and support us in this time because a lot of times we’re the ones keeping it all together while they’re just focused on the field.”

The energy in the room crackled. San Francisco’s elite mingled with football royalty, but for once, the Hall of Famers in attendance were just the applause track. The wives owned the floor.

“I think this is like the Super Bowl for them essentially,” said former Carolina Panthers defensive end Everette Brown, watching from the sidelines. “They work all year throughout various events, but this is the biggest one that they really take a lot of pride in.”

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Cleats

Beyond the hip fits and the flashbulbs, the event highlighted a fierce, often unseen support system. Kijafa Vick, wife of icon Michael Vick, described the group as a “secret society” essential for survival in the high-pressure cooker of the NFL.

“It’s just very important to support your sisterhood,” Vick said. “These women go through a lot.”

Tenisha Patterson Brown, a key force within the Off The Field NFL Wives Association, made the mission crystal clear: “Our wives are gonna be modeling. It’s about us. It’s not about the players.”

“They do have a tough job. I’d say, the hardest job. And getting back to the community and building their own legacy… I think women can do it all.” — Charlotte Flair, WWE Superstar & Event Co-Host

“As players, having that support system… the wives, they’re along that journey every step of the way. They’re that real true support system to help players become successful when there’s the ups and downs. They’re there.” — Grant Irons, Former Raiders Player

What’s Next: Super Bowl LX Kickoff

With the fashion show wrapping up a massive win for Bay Area charities, the focus shifts back to Santa Clara. The Seahawks and Patriots kick off Sunday at 3:30 PM PST. But for the families involved, the weekend has already scored its biggest touchdown. The Off The Field Association didn’t just raise money; they raised the bar for what “Super Bowl Weekend” actually means.

This $1 million injection into the Boys and Girls Clubs ensures that long after the confetti falls on Sunday night, the local community keeps winning.
