During a sit-down with Sports Illustrated, Michaels was asked who should welcome the seven-time champion to the ring. He didn’t blink. He wants Brady across from “The Beast” Brock Lesnar.
Michaels noted that plenty of stars could “stretch” Brady, but Lesnar remains the ultimate deterrent for outsiders. The timing is electric. WrestleMania 42 hits Las Vegas in just two weeks, and Brady already holds a minority stake in the Raiders. He’ll be in the building. Whether he’s there to watch or fight is the $100 million question. Rollins seems more than willing to add Brady to his hit list if the legendary QB actually decides to lace up the boots.
The logistics are tricky. Lesnar is currently embroiled in a violent feud with the powerhouse Oba Femi. That match is billed as a “passing of the torch,” but a Brady appearance could easily disrupt the hierarchy. The stadium air is thick with anticipation. Fans expect a spectacle, and Brady getting tossed around by a 285-pound former UFC champion fits the Vegas “big fight” bill perfectly.
Expect WWE to lean into this heat. With the April 18-19 dates fast approaching, Brady’s social media silence is deafening. If he doesn’t respond to Rollins or Michaels by the final Raw before the show, the “no guts” label might stick. Most league insiders expect Brady to at least appear in a segment, potentially involving Logan Paul, to settle the score from the podcast.
